Incorporated in 1984 by Ira Goldberg as Bomanite of NJ, Inc., the company started small, as the exclusive Bomanite Licensed contractor covering only 3 counties in central NJ. Within 3 years, the company's licensed territory grew to cover all of NJ. By the early 90's, Bomanite of NJ continued to grow, eventually servicing all five boroughs of NYC, Long Island and Eastern PA. In 2002, the company spun-off its first sublicense to handle residential work in 6 counties of northern NJ: North Jersey Bomanite.
As the company's territory grew, so did the product line. Expanding beyond stamped concrete and including epoxy flooring, polished concrete and various overlay and topping systems, the company developed a Solution Provider approach to helping customers find the best solution to their diverse needs for architectural and other specialty concrete applications.
To better reflect the geographic expansion, product-line extensions and
Solution Provider approach to customer service, the company officially changed its name to
Over the years, the company has won numerous awards, twice winning Bomanite Corporation's Worldwide Grand Prize, once for the 49th Street Galleria at Franklin Mills Mall and again for the Temple Lobby at Caesar's Atlantic City. Nearly every year, the company has won awards from Bomanite Corporation and various local groups including the NJCAA and NJ-ASLA.
The company has also set worldwide production records and demonstrated a continuing ability to meet difficult deadlines and produce unparalleled artwork using concrete for a canvas. In the Spring of 2004, the Beyond Concrete team installed over 65,000 square feet of imprinted concrete for Six Flags Great Adventure in only 10 days! (and that was while simultaneously installing a complicated 5-phase epoxy system for Home Depot's first Manhattan store!)
